about me
Hi there! I'm Emma. My journey into the world of acting and performance began in 2020 at New College Lanarkshire, and further blossomed in 2023 when I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Acting and Performance from Queen Margaret University.
Before finding my true passion, I explored Fashion Textiles at Glasgow Clyde College back in 2015. Realising it wasn't quite the right fit, I took on a part-time role at NEXT plc and later ventured into car sales at Audi. These experiences were invaluable, teaching me a lot about myself and ultimately guiding me towards my love for acting.
My time at New College Lanarkshire and Queen Margaret University has been transformative, igniting my passion for acting, character creation, and storytelling.
I've become particularly passionate about addressing the lack of female narratives and the underrepresentation of Scottish culture on British screens, which has also inspired me to start writing.
Moving forward, I'm eager to expand my skills by learning about directing and producing through hands-on experiences on sets and productions. My goal for the next decade is to bring about substantial positive changes within the Scottish entertainment sector.

A young woman goes on a life-changing holiday to the South of France. She creates an online persona of a young rich woman. She ends up staying in a small town in France, dating rich men, living an influencer life-style and making friends. Through a series of events, she becomes someone she doesn’t like. The TV show/ Film explores the pressures of social media, how you can be anyone you want to be online and how dating games can damage your mental health. I want to make this as so many people dream of becoming an influencer but they do not know the pressures that come along with it.
Some pieces that have influenced this TV Show are a mix between songs, films and TV Shows. These are:
Music
Taylor Swift - Blank Space
Sabrina Carpenter - Espresso
Marina and the diamonds
Movies
How to lose a guy in 10 days
Crazy Rich Asians
Heartbreakers
The Devil Wears Prada
TV Shows
Emily in Paris
Inventing Anna
Gossip Girl

The audience follow a young women's journey through therapy as she learns how to cope with her crippling anxiety. She believes thats anytime she leaves the house something bad will happen. Be that a terror attack, a natural disaster or freak accident.
I want it to take place in a therapists office and in a cafe.

“The Wet Look”
A story based on Mary Quant, the revolutionary fashion designer of the 1960s, as she comes up with the first ever wet look design using PU coated polyester fabric.

INT. DESIGN STUDIO Mary walks in. Lights up. Chris Montez 'Lets Dance' is playing. She is in her studio. The music is playing lightly in the back ground. She starts designing. The table is laid out with fabric samples, designs and pencils. She is dancing and moving while designing. The music dims naturally. This goes on for two minutes before there is a knock on the door. It's Jamie from Harrods with a note for her from her Husband. Mary takes the note and reads it to the audience.

My dearest Mary, I have successfully secured our venue for our up coming spring/summer fashion show. Are we further along with the new collection? Yours lovingly, Alexander.
MARY
Ugh, Alexander! I am no further forward now than I was last night. Let me be. Th... this man thinks I can create a brand new inspired collection in a matter of hours when in, in in fact it can take days, weeks or even months.

I have created clothing for woman out of men's suit fabric. I designed the Mini' skirt, as a Chelsea girls legs should always be on show in my opinion. Is that not enough? It seems once I started to give women what they want, I never stop trying to give them more. What else I can give? I could be finished. I could have given all I have had to give until no one wants to wear me anymore. Oh, dear.
S h e s i t s o n t h e t a b l e .
No. We are not doing that. Think. What item of clothing do I need. What is not in my wardrobe? Where do I go for here?

Mary starts taking her fabrics over to her mood board design and starts to place them on it. None of the fabrics look nice. Mary sits down, exhausted from trying to create something new, young and exciting. She analysis her materials and as she is going to reach for one she knocks over her cup of tea. She starts to grab fabrics and try to keep them from getting ruined from the spill. She notices her cup is empty and sees her PVC table cover. She clears the table of fabrics and designs and holds up her table cover to her coat designs.
MARY
Could this work? It is a tad outlandish. It is water proof, it would protect our clothing from the rain. Would it hang beautifully? or would it just look ridiculous? Would it move or would it stay rigid? Hmm... Only one way to find out I suppose.
'The Beatles - Twist And Shout' starts playing, Yellow and red lights start flashing. Mary put on her new coat. Shes gets up onto the table and starts dancing and moving in her new coat. She uses the table as a 'Catwalk' and starts to model her coat. The song stops naturally.
